I always sort of considered his 80's work (including Manic Nirvana) to be sort of an extension of Led Zep. It's part of the same playlists on the iPod. Playlists which started out as mix tapes, then re-recorded to mix cd's, migrated to an mp3 cd, then migrated to the iPod.

Although I have to admit to my shame I started with his later work before moving back to Led Zeppelin.
